My Vacation in Palembang

Hi guys!!! In this moment, I would like to tell you about my experience during my last holiday.
Well, actually My family and I went to Palembang. That time is my third day after the progress report had been given. Palembang is the capital city South Sumatera. If you are a good Indonesian, you know it. (hehe just kidding).
And now the story begins.
I went to Palembang at December 22nd 2009. Well, the most interesting thing from my trip is the way I get there. Why? Because of the views you will get.
We went there by car. My father said that it is cheaper. And there’s another advantage of using car. That’s we can go around the city anytime we like, we want. It was 7 o’clock when I left my home. From Jakarta, we went to Merak Harbour first. We had to cross the Sunda channel by ship. It costs Rp. 198.000,- for a car (includes the passangers). Then, we arrived at Bakauheni Harbour, South Lampung. It took about 2 hours from Merak harbor to Bakauheni Harbour. And then, we had lunch in Siang Malam Restaurant. It’s padang food. I love it. About 2 haours later, I arrived at Bandar Lampung. We visited my great-granfather’s home. And he was so happy about our visit. But, I stayed there for only an hour. Then, I continued my journey to Palembang at 5 o’clock. I hate my trip from Bandar Lampung to Palembang. Why? First, it’s because of the road condition.b it’s not so good. Second, there was a traffic jam. This because a truck had a flattire. And you know what? It caused a traffic jam along 10 km. just wise man used to say every cloud has its silver line, I found the silver line. When I was had a dinner in Pagi Sore Restaurant, I saw a thousand stars in the sky. Seriously, there were a lot lot lot of stars. It was like a spoon of sugar had been poured in the sky. It centered in one area. It was such a beautiful moment to see that phenomenon. And when I was in my car, that stars were like following me. And I arrived at my grandma’s home at 3 a.m. That’s why I woke up at 11 a.m.
First day.
First day in Palembang, I didn’t go anywhere. What I did are just watching TV, take a nap, and eat.
Second Day.
And now, my mother and I went to my aunt’s house. Her husband is a captain for a cruise ship. And her son, a.k.a my cousin. He will represent our country in a robot competiton in 2010. When I was in his house, he was making the track for the robot. I’m very proud to have a cousin like him.
Third Day
I went to my uncle’ house nerby my home. And, there were a lot of people there. They’re talking about passed. Especially their experience when they where a student in Sriwijaya University. Actually, I didn’t know exactly what they were talking about. That’s because they used Palembang language.
Fourth Day.
And now, it’s time to go back to Jakarta. Before I left Palembang, I went to a Palembang Traditional crackers shop. This is my friends’ favor. And then, I continued my journey to Jakarta. And then I had lunch in Pagi Sore Restaurant. one thing that very interesting moment. When I came across “Lintas Timur”, there’s a huge sugarcane garden. Very huge. It didn’t have any border line. You can see it as far as you can see something. It’s Gulaku factory. It took 4 hours from that area to Bakauheni Harbour. We used Menggala ship. You know what? There’s a traffic jam in merak Harbour. The ships were over load, so our ship have to queue. Then, I had dinner at 11 p.m. so late. Then finally I arrived at home at 1 a.m.

My name is Haniyyah Hasna. Of course, I'm the owner of this blog.

Everybody calls me Hani. But sometimes, they call me Haniyyah. Maybe because Hani means different for them.. Hehe. Just kidding. I was born In Jakarta, September 4th 1994. so, I'm 15 years old now.

I'm the student of M.H.Thamrin High. Or SMA Negerei Unggulan Muhammad Husni Thamrin. And now, I'm in the first year. and you know what? we are the first generation of this shool.

I have black long hair. But not as long as Rapunzel's. And I have dark skin. But not as dark as Afican's. Hehehe.... My Father and My mother are Arabian. So, I'm an Arabian. That's why My name is Haniyyah Hasna plus Shahab. But in my birth certificate, it's just Haniyyah Hasna.

And I'm a cheerful person. I'm not habitual to cry in front of people. But in sometimes, if I can't hold it anymore, so I cried.

And my hobby are playing soccer, and manything. Everything that is useful for me, usually I like it.

And I want to be an engineer. Why? Because I want to work in NASA. And my dream univeristy is MIT or Massachusets Institute of Technology. Wish me luck okay? And my grandmother often says that is abnormal if an engineer is a woman. I often angry if my grandmother said that.

And I can't cook. let alone cook, I can't break an egg. So, I suggest you to not order me to cook.

My Unforgettable Experience "TOD at MHT"

Talking about unforgettable experience, I have a lot of it. But, at this time, I’ll tell you about my unforgettable experience while I’m studying in Mh. Thamrin High.

Being students of MH. Thamrin High, is one of the great gifts that God has given to me. It is so amazing. From how hard we study at night until late, and the funniest moment. Well, it is also incuding my unforgettable experience along here.

You know what? My unforgettable experience means a lot for me. It realesed my stress out. And, my unforgettable experience is played TOD as known as Truth or Dare. When my friends invited me to join this game, I didn’t have any interest about this. In case that I was stress at that moment, I accepted their invitation.

We choosed who get the first turn by gliding a bottle of mineral water. First, it was Vinny. “Truth or Dare?” asked Lindy. And Vinny choosed Dare. We were so excited that Vinny choosed Dare. Because wecan challenge her what ever we wanted. “What abou shouting in the middle of Dorm?” suggested Lindy. And everybody in that room agreed. Not long after it, Vinny went to the middle of Dorm and shouting. “I LOVE MHT VERY MUCH!”. That is what Vinny shouted.

And, at the second turn it was me. And I thought it was better to choose dare. Because if I choose truth, they would ask me something that I don’t want someone knows it. Lindy has a lot of idea to give us the dare. And I had to knock my friend’s door hardly and if the person came out I must say “Sorry, I thought it is Cleaning Service room,”. And, I did it in the nearest I room from me. And this is the situation of TOD 1

And, at the third turn, we got a new player. Selma was joined the game. And, that time Putri got the turn. But, she choosed truth. And you know what? Putri got 5 turns. And she always choosed truth. And next, Lindy got her turn. And she choosed dare. Everybody was confused about Lindy’s dare. Until Ayu told the dare. The dare is Lindy must do our 5 wishes. Mine is, Lindy must act like an idiot. Vinny told Lindy to say ‘I love you’ to one of the boys in my school. And Putri told Lindy to act like a super model. And Lindy did that great.

And finally, Selma got her turn. And you know what? She choosed truth. It was so funny when I asked her about her dream boyfriend. And she answered, “Just like Andre,”. And everybody in the room was shocked and loughed out loudly. But, it was late, so we must stop and go to bed.

Don’t worry, there is the second episode Truth or Dare. The day after we did TOD 1, we played TOD 2. And the player was decreased. There were Gita, Fio, Syifa. But we missed Lindy. Lindy have to study biology because she must compete in LCTIP. First Gita and Gita choose Dare. And I told her to say ‘I love you’ Erza. It was such a funny moment. And next was Syifa. She must call Deo and asked about her coins. “Hey you! you were the person who cleaned my septictank. Bring it back. There is a lot of gold,”. So funny!!! And Deo just answered, “hah? Hah?”. And next Fio. She must call Mega and angry with her. “Hey you! you are the person who brought a gallon of water right? Thare is something wrong with it. My skin is green right now. My wife doesn’t want to look at me!,”. and Mega just laughed. And then me. I must shout that I’m cute, beautiful and sexy in fornt of people. It was such an embarrassing moment. And next, is Ayu. Ayu must ask Iki to put her up. Like a child wants it. And next was Vinny. She must dance in front of people.

And this is the end of my story about unforgettable experience. Thanks guys to make me feel happy all this time.

Dorm Life

Hi guys!

This is my second posts and it's about my life at dormitory. I've told you that I'm a student of M.H.Thamrin High. right? Well, actually this school is dormitory intermoda, or known as a school that has dormitory system.

I entered dormitory since October 5th, 2009. And my first night at dorm became a not-so-good night. That is because I had exam tomorrow. So, I had to study hard. The first week in dorm was hard. i was not used to study until late. At the first time, it made me so sleepy when the class began. That is beause we have to study and at the same time we must wake up early.

And my roommate is Nazirah. She was always help me when I had a trouble with making up the bed. And we shared about everything. Especially food. And we made schedule to clean up the room. Mine are Monday, Wednesdey, and Friday. and Nazirah's are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. It's quiet fair, right?

We usually woke up at 4.30 am. Mrs.Eci, or known as Bunda always woke me up. although I was hardly to wake up at that time, she just kept trying. Thank you Bunda!!!

And my clothes were washed by a laundry company. It is the company of my friend's mom. My clothes will be taken at Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. And, Thank you Prika's mom for taking care of my dirty clothes.

And, one thing that I like from living in Dormitory. it is having such a kind friends. My friends are very nice to me. We often study together. And they just have a good sense of solidarity. And these are my friends at dorm. Actually, there are more than that. But, I think it's enough to express how happy I am about living in dormitory.

My School Life

I'm Haniyyah Hasna. And I'm a student of M.H. Thamrin High School. When I heard about this school, I didn't expect that i will be the student there. I knew this school from my Junior High School teacher asked me to go to this school. And my school was invited by this school for the promotion as a new school. At that time, I didn't have any interest with this school. But my friends were so excited to register as the applicants. The official of the school gave me the brochure. And when I arrived at home, my mom read that. My mom told me that i have to try my luck. and i just answered it's up to my mom decision. Unexpectedly, my mom registered me. I met the qualification at the documantation test. And later, I attended the last tes. it consists of 3 kinds of Test, IQ Test, TOEFL, and Academic Potential Test. It was such a hard test. June 16th 2009, the results had been announced in the school's website and at the school. I knew that I i was accepted at this school was from my mom. She saw it from its website. actually, I did not want to school here. but when i saw my mom's expession to know that i accepeted made me felt guilty. So i decided to school here.

First day In MHT was great. having such a big school like this was so amazing. i have a lot of new friends. and when I know the total of the students, I was shocked! Just 62 students. 62 students in a big school like this? just forget it. And Orientation Week started. when the other school had Orientation Days just 3 days, we had 6 days. Can you imagine that? and the Orientation Week is opened by our Governor, Fauzi Bowo. And you know what? we had a private meeting with him. oh, such an unforgettable moment. And we had a lot of things to do when the Orientation Week. and it was so useful for us. From our emotion, our concentration.


And Orientation Week was over. we started to study seriously. In te beginning, it was not so hard. but when the second week, we started to stumbling. We had an exam each day. Can you imagine that? I fet like i was haunted by time and score. in the other hand, we had a lot of homework to do. in fact, we were not habitual with this lifestyle. Slept so late, and stress because of the score and the homework. There was a lot of my friends were sicked because of their lifestyle did not stabil. it was such a hard time for me. My hard Science score never passed the standard. and it's getting harder and harder. but with my family and my friend stood beside me, it was getting easier. my score was booming again. although not so good, I'm so grateful for each ascension. and now, my sprit has increased again.

And now, my score is better than before. and i like it. I like to see my mom's expressions when she saw my score is getting better. and from now on, i promise. I have to ake my parents proude of me.
